Hamilton High School | Wilson Middle School
Mr. Paul Dixon is the head band director at Hamilton High School.
He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Miami University, with clarinet as his major instrument. He also has a master’s degree in educational leadership. Mr. Dixon has been in the Hamilton City Schools District for 18 years. Prior to coming to HCSD, he taught in the Three Rivers Local School District.
Mr. Dixon says he enjoys “ Making differences in students lives and seeing students succeed each year.”
The Band Parents have given Mr. Dixon the nickname "Big Tuna"

After splitting time between elementary general music and band for 11 years, Mr. Patrick Naylor is devoting his entire time to band. He is co-director of the Hamilton High Bands, as well as teacher of band students at Ridgeway, Wilson, and Garfield.
Mr. Naylor has been the director of HHS Jazz Band since 2007.
He earned a Bachelor of Music in music education from Ohio University and a Master of Music in trumpet performance from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.
The Band Parents have given Mr. Naylor the nickname "Shark"
Hamilton High School | Garfield Middle School
Mr. Goes currently serves the Hamilton City School District as a band director at Garfield Middle School. He is also involved with the High School Marching Band and coordinates the High School Pep Band program. Prior to Hamilton, Goes worked for Williamsburg Local Schools (OH) serving as the music director for students in Grades 6-12.
Goes holds a BM in Music Education (Miami University) and a ME in Instructional Design (Western Governors University). In addition to his teaching duties, he is an active member of the Cincinnati Wind Band and serves as the Principal Trombonist and Librarian for the Mason Symphony Orchestra.
Goes remains active as a composer and arranger with compositions being selected by the Dallas Winds' for their annual Call for Fanfares and commissioned by the Cincinnati Wind Band. He resides with his wife Samantha, an active flute instructor, and his cat, Lenny, named after the great Leonard Bernstein.
Color Guard Director
Jonathan is the Director of the Hamilton High School Color Guard and Winter Guards. He has designed and taught with Kettering Fairmont Winter Guard, Ada High School Marching Band & Winter Guard, Phoenix Independent, Fort Frye Winter Guard, and Inertia Independent Winds.
While working as a HS band director, Jonathan completed his Doctorate of Musical Arts and Juris Doctorate, and is now a practicing attorney representing whistleblowers under the Federal False Claims Act. His groups have earned numerous circuit championships, WGI Regional Championships, WGI Regional Finalist appearances, and WGI World Championships Semi-Finals & Finals appearances.
Jonathan is a marching band and indoor pageantry adjudicator in circuits around the country, and serves as the treasurer for the Ohio Indoor Performance Association

Hamilton High School - Freshman Campus | Wilson Middle School
Alex McIntosh is a performer, educator, and clinician in music programs in the state of Ohio. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Miami University in 2012.
Alex has served on and directed the percussion departments at many successful high school programs throughout the state of Ohio. In addition to being the full time band director at Wilson Middle School, he is also the co-director of percussion at Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and the director of percussion for the Miami University Marching Band in Oxford, Ohio.
Alex is highly active in the world music genre of percussion—he has gone on national tours with the Miami University Steel Band and has performed in the Global Rhythms festival under the direction of Srinivas Krishnan, where he was afforded the opportunity to perform with Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award winning musicians such as Valerie Naranjo, Wynton Marsalis, A.R. Rahman, Jeff Queen, Victor Mendoza, and Glen Velez.
Garfield Middle School
Mr. Moore is starting his 20th year in music education and currently serves as a band director at Garfield Middle School. Mr. Moore holds degrees from Miami University and The University of Tennessee. In his spare time, Mr. Moore enjoys playing with his kids, playing with his trumpet in area bands, and running. He lives in the hometown of Captain Underpants, Piqua, Ohio, with his wife, 3 children, and a good-good dog named Charlie Barker.
